"From: Raquel Velasco and Bill Buck. We would like to announce that the next scheduled production of the Pegasos has been sold out. Boards have been set aside for friendly developers, but all others have been sold. Another production of the Pegasos will follow in July." [ Source: Email forward... - CK ]

Next Pegasos production sold out : Comment 266 of 280 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Bill on 12-Jun-2002 09:31 GMT | In reply to Comment 264 (Anonymous): Hi Sammy,
I am about to post this....
You may be right about MorphOS, but that is really near to the whole point. MorphOS is closed source and it is wed we hope to a family of devices -- first the Pegasos and then the eclipsis. Maybe one day if we are as successful as Palm was we can begin to think about licensing the OS.
In the meanwhile, we can only hope to be as successful as a video game players which are cousin with the same stripes if you know what I mean...hardware and OS, plus applications in one package.
People are beginning to forget how the "industry" got to this point!
So you see for us it is not a question of being "restrictive" it is just a question of definition.
Hope that clears that up...
Sincerely,
Bill
