AmigaOne/AmigaOS 4.0 "Free Stuff" Early Promotion Status : Comment 64 of 87 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Adam Kowalczyk on 26-Jun-2002 12:55 GMT | In reply to Comment 56 (acg): Original Commodore and Amiga equipment were made just about everywhere on the planet. My original VIC 20 was assembled in Canada, yet the circuit board came from Hong Kong. Similarly, my C64 and Amiga 500 were assembled in the US. I've got various A2000's that were made in different locations. Commodore was actually quite good at outsourcing and finding the lowest cost supplier. Just wish they never put those NiCAD batteries in the machines and used that yellowing style plastic or we would have had plenty of spares for classic hardware well into the future. |
