New photos of AmigaMania13 June French Meeting : Comment 14 of 54 | ANN.lu |

Not 'know', 'believe'. You can only know something if it's true (gosh I knew the bloody awful philosophy classes would come in useful some day).
The AmigaOne boards are _modified_, _redesigned_ Terons. Terons are evaluation boards, to be used as a basis for creating your own POP solution; you couldn't just sell them as-is, there'd be too many missing functions.
For those who're getting obsessed with the type of chip on the daughter card, it was just the one that was used with the prototype (the mobo in the photos is a prototype). It certainly doesn't mean that it's the chip that will be delivered with the board. It'll take G3, of course, but also G4 (let's all hope the prices come down over the next few months), and - really nice touch this - *dual* processor cards as well.
I'm working on an article to accompany the photos, but I got a bit behind since I'm very busy (and not just with the A1 dev board). Soon. |
