AmigaOS *4* will have memory protection. AmigaOS *3.x* applications will not benefit from that, since they will be run in a OS 3.x "sandbox". In a sense, your OS 4 applications will be protected from the OS 3.x sandbox and vice versa, but an OS 3.x app running amok will still be able to kill everything in the sandbox. (AFAIK, as always.)
This is not "memory-protection" anymore than running UAE
AOS4 will have something more, not sure what, but Ive always
thought something in the lines of mmu.library functionality.
