Sendo device to feature Amiga Anywhere content : Comment 7 of 50 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Troels on 29-Jul-2002 18:26 GMT | In reply to Comment 5 (Lando / Trinity): Well the Nokia deal was a signed deal and the Nokia product was shipping (in Sweden, and some places here in Denmark).
Problem was that it was never released with AmigaDE on it because Nokia took it off the market before DE was ready for it.
At that period Nokia where firing a lot of employees, dropping products that cost them money instead of earning money etc. Amiga really made a deal with Nokia at the worst possible time.
Looking back I can't see what Amiga could have done diffrent in this case, it WAS a big deal, Nokia is a huge company that doesn't usually drop their products.
Anyway, lets all hope this deal works out well. Sendo doesn't seem to have an impressive track record but I guess Amiga know more exact things about the release. |
