Today the "Butterfly Edition" of ScummVM for MorphOS was released. The core is the current CVS version of ScummVM 0.2.0.
The "Butterfly Edition" contains many improvements and optimisations in the MorphOS interface that affect the general usability. The update is thus highly recommended. Comments and suggestions are welcome as usual.

Due to a bug in the beta version of the cdda library, the CD audio of Monkey Island may not work with certain CD-ROM drives. Regrettably, the current version of the library does not work anymore with the public MorphOS demo. Those with access to later betas may request a bugfixed version from me by e-mail.

ScummVM "Butterfly Edition" released : Comment 16 of 16 | ANN.lu |
Posted by DaveW on 13-Aug-2002 17:32 GMT | In reply to Comment 15 (takemehomegrandma): Fair enough, I think the brand was polluted fatally when it moved to
Escom and they failed to deliver anything new. Every time someone
posts on Slashdot the response is "Amiga .. oh they deliver (Sarcasm)"
and its not specifically about the new owners. Escom, Viscorp, Gateway
have all added to the drip drip destroying the brand.
My point *was* about branding.
The quotation reflects what I think of as the biggest problem we have
to face before we can get behind the new machines. We have to get over
what Amiga *meant* to us. If any one given person cannot handle that
its too late and they should just stick to the classic until they are
bored with it. They have to realise that pissing in the tent aint
helping.
If MorphOS is the way for some, then go that way but stop deriding
Amiga Inc for not chosing it - the choices have been made.
The sabre rattling by AInc and the MorphOS userbase back and forth
over IP is a seperate issue.
That wasnt clear, apologies if you took it as me thinking that was
your view or a quotation. |
