AmIDE goes open source : Comment 3 of 9 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Bill Hoggett on 03-Sep-2002 19:26 GMT | In reply to Comment 1 (Elwood): And how many people worked on YAM before it was open-sourced?
Besides, shall we start listing all the proprietary Amiga software which has disappeared for ever?
It's alright saying that a commercial company can do a better job than the open-source programmers, but a commercial company won't even touch a program if they don't think there a good chance of making some money out of it, and the Amiga commercial market is not terribly healthy right now (nor is it really likely to improve much, even when the new operating systems are released). |
