Amiga Inc Exec Sept 02 Update : Comment 88 of 91 | ANN.lu |

That's easy. EyeTech have a better idea of how many motherboards to build. This helps reduce their own risk and could potentially reduce their cost if they build enough. This type of market information is worth paying for. And as for Hyperion, I'm sure it's a great relief for them to see there's about thousand people out there eagerly waiting for their product to be finished. They can now better judge how much effort they want to put into OS4. In the end all $50 vouchers will be used to buy an AmigaOne/OS4 so no one wins or loses here, the customers pay the same amount and Hyperion/EyeTech still get their share, but for now Amiga Inc has bought them some reassurance and peace of mind.
You seem to not understand that although Eyetech and Hyperion are the technical side of the next Amiga, the marketing department belongs to Amiga Inc and from what I can see they are doing a good job. They do what they can to keep us updated and of course they're gonna put a positive spin on things. I think Amiga Inc is more in touch with it's community then most other companies out there. In fact, maybe too much in touch as I'm pretty sure it was the community that told them to go PPC, but that's a different debate.
