It's still stupid. As soon as the driver SDK comes out (or as soon as someone figures it out by reverse engineering), someones just going to write UHCI and OHCI compliant drivers (probably by borrowing from linux/bsd's code). Then the people who bought Elbox's product are going to be pissed when they realise they've been conned.
Elbox would be far better off selling just the driver, perhaps with a licence key, and then letting people use off-the-shelf PCI hardware. |
