Request Amiga Port Of Opera : Comment 13 of 20ANN.lu

Would be nice with an Opera port, but AmigaOS has a lot less users than Windows/Linux and Solaris, and while the *NIX versions can be coded in almost the same way this is not true for AmigaOS. So it's not very likely to happen.
"Yes, perhaps it's better to wait until AOS4 is out and selling well?"
You'll probably have to wait forever in that case.
"Opera isnt exactly a good browser imo."
Opera is a very good browser even if I think mozilla might be better. It can't be that easy to try figure out how all those "broken" homepages was supposed to look by the creator.
"I think it'd be better to support the existing Amiga browsers and hope for their upgrade. It's a lot more likely to happen and frankly I'd rather support those who've been supporting Amiga all along."
The problem with that is that I don't belive one single person can't made a browser which has to support all the stuff people think it should support nowadays. Porting one would save a lot of work.
"....if the partnership between Tao and Amiga is so good why not somehow use that to get Opera ported to Intent and therefore also AmigaDE? Would it not help Tao to have a decent browser running natively on thier system."
Probably a much better alternative than opera on AmigaOS. But maybe it's possible to port mozilla to Elate without that much effort?
