Dave Haynie writes in the newsgroups: "I'm in the final stages of the preparation of a DVD edition of "The Deathbed Vigil and other tales of digital angst". For those who've been living, well, in the normal mainstream of modern life and don't know this, this is the film I made about the end of Commodore." There's also a "contest" where you can get your words on the DVD. Read more here.

Posted by cOrpse on 23-Oct-2002 07:20 GMT | In reply to Comment 18 (John Block): Theres a weird supermarket thing that sells german or something food in the next town from myself , they also sell clones of products e.g. an engry drink called sitting bull lol
Neways ... they had 200 or so referb DVD players in there for 24.99 , all gone by the next day , my brother managed to snatch one of um and they're not bad.Reports are they might have some more soon ...
But if you go to a computer fair in london or somewhere you'll probably be able to pick up a super dodgy ( not in quality , features ) multiregion DVD/VCD/SVCD/MP3 player for not much over 40 quid.
My mate spent about £200 on a top of the range sony player .. and it won't take CD-R's where as the one my other mate bought for £100 quid 2 years ago will take anything you chuck at it :) |
