Dave Haynie writes in the newsgroups: "I'm in the final stages of the preparation of a DVD edition of "The Deathbed Vigil and other tales of digital angst". For those who've been living, well, in the normal mainstream of modern life and don't know this, this is the film I made about the end of Commodore." There's also a "contest" where you can get your words on the DVD. Read more here.

In reply to Comment 22 (takemehomegrandma):
I thoroughly expect that, if Dave Haynie were to add to the "director's cut" DVD release to include previews of "2nd DeathBed" as it were, he'd start with Escom, and finish with Gateway 2000.
Has Amiga Incompetent produced anything besides grounds for a class action lawsuit by all the coupon-holders, or the coupon-obligated? I firmly believe the soul of the Amiga made a hasty exit from the "new Amiga" the moment some guy living out of a tractor trailer near Ravenswood, WA called our machine "classic."
I guess those coupons were, as you said, only enough to keep the lights on for a month, McEwen. I've never heard of an obligatory vacation for employees that didn't end in layoffs or doors closing. My advice to Vince, Tarrah, Gary, Mr. Brown, and the rest, is to get in touch with the unemployment office, and look up the Work Availability Reduction Notification laws. You are entitled to 60 day's pay. I am soo glad I'm not looking for work in rural Washington state.
Patiently, I await the zealous defense by the Amiga faithful, so that I may record your responses for posterity and amusement a good six months from now when there really is no use in denying it all.
