Taken from Frogger homesite:
After being informed that Frogger breaks GPL license, Ive removed the two plugins based on GPL code. Also, Ive put the acknowledgement note on www pages. The source code for LGPL based plugins are now also available.
Moreover, Frogger goes Open Source, cvs with source code and other goodies should be ready within few days.

The GPL isn't stupid, but a lot of the people who choose to use GPL code in their own programs are, so they then blame the GPL for restricting what they can do with the finished product.
It's simple: read the GPL. If you don't want to respect it to the letter, don't use any GPL code. 100% of the responsibility lies with the programmers, and so does the blame. The GPL and LGPL are both OK and each has its own pupose. |
