The Register says that Sendo junks MS smartphone and joins Nokia camp. Sendo, the UK handset maker was supposed to launch its Z100 MS 'Stinger' handset this month into Spain and Italy. Sendo today announced that it's stopping all development on the Windows for Smartphone 2002 platform. It is instead signing a licence for Series 60, the Nokia smartphone platform erected upon the Symbian OS. I guess this means no Amiga Anywhere for Sendo phones.

Sendo junks MS smartphone : Comment 56 of 60 | ANN.lu |
Posted by gz on 08-Nov-2002 20:54 GMT | to me the mere fact that AI call merlancia somesort of partners is enough to persuade me of not having faith in them. Hyperion is another story alltogether, and even if they can't say it in public I think ben hermans lacks faith in AI too. Why else would they have felt the need to secure the rights to develop amigaos to themselves if they had felt they could trust amigainc's way of handling business and staying afloat.
but I guess I might be naive also |
