Letting the World Know : Comment 87 of 216 | ANN.lu |
Posted by amorel on 20-Nov-2002 13:27 GMT | In reply to Comment 61 (Ben Hermans/Hyperion): "1. It's NOT because OS 4.0 for the A1 will be launched at the CeBit that this means that it won't
be finished beforehand (especially the Cyberstorm version)."
OS4 will not be finished before then, not the cyberstorm, nothing.
Ofcourse you can always relabel a hacked and patched pile of crap to be called
OS4, but do you really believe anyone`d take you serious but the zealots?
"2. We are working hard to get OS 4.0 finished asap. We don't have the time to organise a
comprehensive presence at the show in Aachen."
No, you just try to avoid the bleak image you painted at Woase with that silly execsg
boot log. And I admit, it`s commercially a wise decision to not further make yourselves
look pathetic.
"OS 4.0 development for the Cyberstorm PPC is now in its final stages with testing and localisation
underway."
On schedule and rocking huh? Anyways, relabeled hack and patch OSes don`t count.
"I still need to organise matters such as CD production, production of packaging and cover-art."
Yeah right, actually, that is true. If your os isn`t finished, than ofcourse
there is no need for such stuff. But if you wanna release it before March 2003
I`d advice to hurry, you might miss a deadline hehe.
"Plus there are some important deals pending for OS 4.0 which need to be negotiated to a close."
Like uhm, the name inc is about to die and the paperwork to secure your little
project need to be finalised? Actually, I would say the name inc is dead. Seeing
how you butt your way into some "PR" release there has to be some funny stuff going on.
"We are working hard on implementing the devices for the A1 and we would like to finish this work
asap rather than waste precious time showing more work in progress."
That`s just spin, but if you got nothing to show, it`s best to not go to a show,
correct. Then turn this into some spin and the zealots will swallow it.
"If our schedule allows it, we may do a presentation of OS 4.0 (rather than set up a booth for two
days) but that's all we have time for I'm afraid."
Yes please, give us more execsg bootlogs and visualpref patched os3, I bet everyone is
dying to see it again, if only to get a laugh.
But as long as you keep the faith, then it will be allright, will it? Or? Hm? |
