On the Amiga Website you'll find a joint communicate from Amiga, Hyperion and Eyetech.
November 19, 2002 - With the AmigaOne now shipping and AmigaOS4.0 in its final stages of development and testing, the time has come to begin letting the rest of the world know the good news, that the Amiga is alive, well and ready to let the World have fun with computing again.

Posted by JoannaK on 20-Nov-2002 13:40 GMT | Positive side of the announcement.. Entire team has signed something together. That announcements had it good points and bad, but at least it made sense, unlike some other recent publicity stunts from AmigaInc.
I just hope they have time to greate somethign great to show on CeBit... QuakeII ain't going to be enoug. Nor are old Os3.x era applications.
Allthough this leaves status of OS4 a bit open. I hope they are going to show it working (and release it to clients) well before March 2003. Demoing it on Aachen would had been good, cause there would have ben lot's of interested people. But for some reason they decided against it. |
