"It saddens me greatly to announce that, effective today, any of my Amiga-related software development has been mothballed indefinitely. This means that, pending any unexpected developments, there won't be any "Amithlon v2" (aka "Berniethlon"), nor any further support or add ons for "Amithlon v1" by me."

"Berniethlon" - The End : Comment 41 of 221 | ANN.lu |

Can you please name one person whose code was used and who was not asked?

Cool, then go and ask those authors. Any deal reached between Bernie and those authors is a private one and there is no reason why anyone should disclose it to the likes of you.
If one of the authors claims his permission was not asked, and shows proof that his code was indeed used, then you can come back to us. Until then, take your empty accusations elsewhere.

There is no part of the GPL that gives a contributing author any rights over the work done by another. That is why *ONLY THE PEOPLE WHOSE CODE WAS USED NEEDED TO BE ASKED*, and not everyone who contributed a line of code long since discarded. The GPL means the authors retain their copyright, and not that every contributor automatically gets full copyrights to the entire software.
> My word on that.
A pretty worthless word it is then. |
