"It saddens me greatly to announce that, effective today, any of my Amiga-related software development has been mothballed indefinitely. This means that, pending any unexpected developments, there won't be any "Amithlon v2" (aka "Berniethlon"), nor any further support or add ons for "Amithlon v1" by me."

"Berniethlon" - The End : Comment 56 of 221 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Christophe Decanini on 01-Dec-2002 21:08 GMT | In reply to Comment 43 (dammy): While I understand your point the dealers can not stop selling product just because there are problems between their suppliers and their coders / contractors.
For example: Amiga businesses have been asked by their customers to not sell MorphOS/Pegasos because of the stolen source accusations on this site.
If there are such problems it is up to AmigaInc or any entity willing to do so to take action and sue.
Unfortunately public accusations have been made, announcements of legal actions have been made but nothing happened yet.
Maybe I'am mistaken and something is really going on.
Another example would be the Elbox situation. The dealer is confronted with customers that do not care about the USB driver story and other that are ashamed. Should he stop distributing Elbox products ?
I don't think so.
It is very sad for Bernie but I guess that if he ever give another try he will hopelly secure all partnership with contracts to save his work in case of similar mess as the one he is living through. |
