From what I have read on their page I have learned that CAPS aims to create a
new disk format (like ADF) capable of storing the physical information of a
disk in addition to its actual data, so you can have a faithful representation
of an original Amiga Game disk (NOT CRACKED!)in a suitable digital form.

They are creating software that is capable of doing this with any kind of
copy-protection. Yes, if you spread the resultant disk-image without
permission it's piracy. But back2theroots could make a good use of it,
if they contact the original autors they only have to ask for their permission,
they don't have to bother to make an especial ADF version of the game. It makes
the whole thing of free-this-old-game-please a lot easier and preserves
the original form of the software.
