Sendo today confirmed that it has filed a suit against Microsoft in a US federal suit, accusing the software giant of stealing its technology and customers. --The Register

Furthermore, even if the justice system HAD found them to be a monopoly does not mean that they are a monopoly. In fact the ONLY monopolies that have ever existed the US have been created by the government ie. the former Bell/AT&T. In fact the origin of the anti-trust laws are the result of a political vendetta. Also, note the use of the word "trust." It does not mean monopoly. Microsoft has been characterized as "anti-competetive" yet their success is due to their superior ability to compete. They are very competetive. The ethics of their business practices is indeed questionable. Yet, so long as they are held liable to any breach of contract I do not see a problem. |
