The Aminet CD series was cancelled this month, and Amiga-News.de
interviewed Urban Müller, the Aminet founder, to find out why and ask a few questions about Aminet's long history and hopefully long future (it is just the CDs that are being cancelled, not Aminet).
I remember way back when that everyone who uploaded original software to Aminet was eligible for a free CD. I wrote some stuff that I put on Aminet, but I don't think I ever applied for the free CD back then, oh well! It's okay, because I didn't have a CD-ROM drive on my Amiga. ;)

Interview with Aminet Founder : Comment 4 of 8 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Kronos on 17-Jan-2003 17:31 GMT | In reply to Comment 2 (Trizt): Mmm o.k., but why do you want to group PuP with MOS (can run under MOS and 3.x),
and WOS to OS4 (can run under MOS,3.x and sometimes under OS4) ?
I would say a standard descriptor in the readme like the "short:" or "uploader:"
and a filter in the search toll would be perfect. |
