New Version of GoldED Editor : Comment 3 of 12 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Solar on 25-Mar-2003 07:23 GMT | In reply to Comment 1 (Xeyes): I was long looking for GoldEd replacements, too.
You might want to check SciTE (http://www.scintilla.org/SciTE.html), which is a decent if plain-looking editor for both Unixes and Windows (sic!). This one has a number of really nifty features, like a single-exe no-install Windows version, automatic folding marks for numerous languages, and a pretty cool syntax highlighting.
Some are considering nedit to be a fair replacement on Unixoid machines, too.
For Windows-only, UltraEdit (http://www.ultraedit.com) is a reasonable alternative. |
