Posted by DaveP on 23-Apr-2003 12:59 GMT | In reply to Comment 6 (Bill Hoggett): Funny you should say that Bill, but I have the same opinion but kept my gob shut in case it upset any red trolls. ;-) I wouldn't be surprised if Hyperion spruced up the gameplay to make it approach top notch.
I would actually like to see more games from platforms like the Game Boy Advance come across to the Amiga platform for 040+ owners. These tend to use isometric 3d and 2d scrolling to good effect. For example the ports of Lord Of The Rings The Two Towers and Rogue Spear are particularly effective.
The tendancy towards 1stPP 3d games I find a bit boring these days and enjoy the accessibility that simplified game engines give ( maybe because they have to emphasise gameplay to keep your attention? ). |
