Bill McEwen, CEO/President of Amiga, Inc. will attend AmiWest : Comment 142 of 167 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Hammer on 01-May-2003 10:18 GMT | In reply to Comment 141 (dammy): >That doesn't answer why Amiga Inc hasn't put a statement out denouncing the card as a >fake?
Why Raquel and Bill even mention Gary Hare when it has near zero relations to with MOS camp's product except for spin doctoring? Raquel and Bill should have stayed and promoted Pegy/MOS on it’s own merits (e.g. potential power savings, small foot print and 'etc') without being embroiled with the goings of Amiga Inc.
>I don't understand why you keep harping about Genesi when this has nothing to do with
>Genesi, other then Buck mentioning this in a IRC #channel.
Did you missed this e-mail.

Subject: More info...
Info from Genesi about Gary Hare...
Yesterday, we mentioned on the MorphOS IRC Channel that we had spoken to the new Amiga Inc. CEO some time ago. Honestly, we thought this was "old" news. Gary Hare is based in California, but apparently has some good contacts in China and Europe and is working with the largest Amiga Inc. shareholder to turn the situation around. In March they were still trying to sort out the plan and secure funding so we decided to let the lawsuit against Amiga Inc. lay dormant until we could figure out if there was the potential for a new relationship with the "name." :-)
We did not withdraw the suit. Court dates have been set. We just decided to give them some time to get organized. We would like to work with them. Certainly, there are many mutually beneficial things we could do together.
We have offered across the board assistance! We are hoping to hear something soon.
On the Snoqualmie front the operation is 100% gone -- everything has been or will be sold to creditors. We tried to get in on this, but there were far too many people in line first (including multiple valid legal claims against the company). The good thing is these problems seem as though they might be settled and that the "classic" OS will stay under the control of the new organization.
These are just facts everyone. We would all like to see Amiga Inc. survive even if it might be for different reasons...;-)
Sincerely,
Raquel and Bill
Genesi

Pay attention to the headers and sig. LOOK at "Info from Genesi" quote.
> This Amiga Inc employee is presenting himself as CEO/Chairman.
That's Amiga Inc's problem. We(that's includes MOS camp) shouldn't even involve with this particular episode.
> But you seem to blame a competitor instead of him.
> At the very least, Bill should have given a press release announcing Garry Hare and
> what he does to clear up any confusion that Mr. Hare has caused to date.
> But of course, that didn't happened. My question is still, why didn't Bill do so?
Firstly, I don’t think Amiga Inc is omni-present. Secondly, Amiga Inc web site’s has stated that the current top CEO/Chairman is Bill. Thirdly, confusion in the community wouldn’t happen IF Raquel and Bill verified their sources first and stays out of Amiga Inc’s goings.
>Who's demanding? I'm asking a question. There has to be a reason not to gloat over a new >employee hire during some rather bleak economic times for Amiga Inc.
Please produce Ainc’s balance sheet/profit and lost/cash flow statements (as of this finincal year) before you pass a judgement.
> What could that reason be? Wonder if Amiga Inc's #1 fanboy can get an interview with Mr. Hare?
Such statements (in regards to “fanboy”) is irrelevant to the issue at hand.
>Truism. I highly doubt you will find many, except the advopups, that would say they had >enough information or too much information coming out of Amiga Inc these days.
I don’t state anything in regards to what level of information should be disclosed.
>If the vast majority of people are not getting enough or too much, they are clearly >getting not enough, or as I like to put it, "little" amount.
Have you done an effective statistical count? |
