Warehouse Find, Large Stock of NEW Commodore Hardware : Comment 13 of 23 | ANN.lu |
Posted by greenboy on 07-Jun-2003 16:41 GMT | In reply to Comment 12 (Peter Gordon): Sold quite a few 500s in the day, though I concentrated on pro and semi-pro clients who bought big-box Amigas and stuffed them with cards. Lots of people thought A500 was more transportable for video or music or whatever but the A500s were always having connector problems which a twist of the case (and circuit board would often correct. Then later, the customer would slightly tension the case diagonally and it'd need re-tweaking.
Never did like that form factor as much as a result ... and then therr was that clunky outboard power supply to add to the octopus fray for anybody who hooked much up. The big boxes were much cleaner for expansion and semi-portable use. |
