The AmigaOS 4.0 Powerpoint presentation that was displayed in Montlaur on saturday the 5th is now available.
This document was displayed to the amigans in Montlaur, France last saturday. It is a snapshot of the work in progress on AmigaOS 4.0.
We hope this will help you understand what was realised, and what still needs to be done.
Please note that the list of PPC modules is growing everyday (and I mean everyday : This morning we received icon.library).
The file is available as a PowerPoint presentation (original file), a PDF file, and a set of JPEG images.
This is a french document, so please feel free to translate it.

French AmigaOS On Tour presentation available : Comment 45 of 70 | ANN.lu |
Posted by ElfKing on 07-Jul-2003 19:24 GMT | In reply to Comment 3 (Don Cox): For the record, I used a non-Intel Box (home grown AMD), fitted with a non-M$ Operating System (RH Linux 9.0) to run a non-M$ presentation software (OpenOffice.org's Impress), to open the presentaion. I also did *not* use Adobe to open the pdf, I used xpdf.
If one had a PPC fitted with a non-M$ O.S., one could take it to another extreme. Then again, I don't know if OpenOffice.org is available for PPC Linux or other PPC Unixes.
Still, it would be nice to have an Amiga to be able to do it all... .ppt, .pdf, scala whatever, or some other new Amiga presentation format. |
