SWAUG.org.uk has a review of the new CD-ReWriter from Lite-On. It is a 52x32x52x drive.

We see how well it works with the Amiga.

SWAUG REVIEW: Lite-On 52x32x52x CDRW on AMiGA : Comment 4 of 12ANN.lu

In reply to Comment 2 (Sigbjørn Skjæret):
he said Amigas - so why compare the Pegasos? Of course the Pegasos
(and AmigaONE) will be able to run this at full 52X speed because
their IDE interface is modern with high bandwidth. On Amigas, the
best you get IDE-wise is the PowerFlyer...and that can only handle about
5Mb/s throughout without taking all CPU. ie around 32x - 36x (depending
on 040/060) . there again, my IDE CDWriter is only a 2X old-school beasty..
and too me, anything over 24x is ultra-fast...i dont need to burn that much..
or that often! :-) this Lite-On is very tempting for my next CD upgrade
