More official screenshots from Hyperion are now available at the AmigaWorld.net community portal. These shots demonstrate the debugging capabilities under AmigaOS 4. Two programs are involved in this: The Grim Reaper and gdb.

Not really. Win XP does it. Mac OS X does iconify the window. KDE lets you select what to do, but by default does shade the window (collapse to titlebar size).
The major point is consistancy. Whatever happens when you do something should be what the user expects. An Amiga user does not expect the window to go fullscreen when you double-click the title bar. However, if the user wants to, he can load up a commoditiy to do that.
Commodities, IMO, are one of the strengths of AmigaOS, and that is one reason to make good use of them. |
