Great news for New York area computer users. The NYCPUG - NYC Pegasos User Group - first meeting/open house will be attended by Raquel and Bill of Genesi! This event was posted last week and is to be held on the 20th of September at the studio of Magnetic Systems NYC MagneticSystems There will be Several Pegasos PPC machines setup for attendees to try out and will be demonstrating various aspects of MorphOS 1.4 and the Pegasos running Linux and Mac on Linux running MacOs! It is very gracious of them to attend, and they will be giving away tshirts and other Pegasos gear to all who attend! This is YOUR CHANCE to see the Pegasos first hand and try out MorhpOS for yourself. It is also YOUR CHANCE to Meet Bill and Raquel and learn about the future of Genesi and the Pegasos. EXCLUSIVE INFORMATION ABOUT PEGASOS 2 WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THIS EVENT! We are encouraging all computer users to come to this open house. Please, bring a friend or associate even if they are not interested in "Amigas". This show will have something for everyone. It would be great for you to come. It will be Saturday the 20th from 12-5pm (and on) there will be REFRESHMENTS and DOOR PRIZES. There will be several Pegasos machines on display as well as an Amiga 4000T PPC.

Cecilia of Image Fx Fame will be there as well to give demonstration of Image Fx!

We have a loose schedule of demos... during this time you will be able to see demos of:

1. MorphOS 1.4 running native PPC apps and Amiga apps

2. The Pegasos Online and networked to the in studio Lan with an Ibook and 4000T, and a DSL modem and router.

3. Pegasos running Debian Linux

4. Pegaaos running Mac On Linux and MacOs!

5. Games!

6. MAME Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator running your fav arcade games like Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Joust Mortal Kombat and more!

7. Euro Demos running

8. ProStation Audio software running

9. The Superbundle Demo!

10. Mplayer - DVD/DIVX/Mpeg player for MorphOS

and much more!

These demonstrations will take place throughout the day. There will always be a machine for attendees to access and play with :D
