At today's hearing of the Tribunal of Commerce in Paris a judgment was rendered declaring Pretory, S.A. in bankruptcy and appointing a receiver. The process finally will now begin to transfer Thendic-France's assets to Genesi SARL.
Our situation with Pretory S.A. has been a long and difficult one. In all matters we have cooperated with the French Government and agreed to close the Company in a coordinated and proper manner. Time will demonstrate that we have behaved properly and legally in all respects as shareholders and managers.
In no way will these matters effect Genesi. Finally, we are personally free to devote the time and resources we want to the Genesi.
Sincerely,
Raquel and Bill

Well, what's missing from the articles is the timeline. BB ousted the other guy in charge. Why? Were people underpaid, overworked, did money get laundered before or after the change in management? Did changes try to occur in order to save the company?
1) Were BB & RV sent in to try and make sense out of a big mess in companies that they (and/or their friends) invested in?
2) Did they come in to take advantage of the situation, make some cash on the side and smooth talk their way (via their friends) into sweet deals?
3) Was this an attempt by the FBI/CIA to come in and have an internal look and compromise French airport/airplane security?
The articles seem to lean towards "2" while possibly hinting remotly on "3". BBRV are hinting at "1". No one with any real information can state anything at the moment so I guess we'll find out sometime in the future.
I don't know, reading the articles just leaves me a little confused. Then again, I'm franco-ontarian, and not used to the idioms of European French. ;) |
