According to Hans-Jörg Frieden, AmigaOS 4 SDK beta preview is to be released to Earlybird owners just before Christmas.
Reading some comments, it seems Amiga OS 4 beta is to be released, and it should include the final SDK.
Complete with autodocs, include files, compilers, binutils and some sample code, altough at the moment, without an IDE.

AmigaOS 4 SDK to be released to Earlybird owners : Comment 119 of 184 | ANN.lu |

Yes, it does. That's because the Pegasos and MorphOS is actually here and being used by a great number of people in this community. The new Pegasos II will be available en masse shortly, and we're selling them faster than snowcones in Hades.
We're also going out of our way to exhibit at shows (an average of two per month), both large and small -- both inside and outside the Amiga community -- and have several key staff positions such as sales, marketing, development, and the Web filled and working full time (not to mention steady paychecks).
As such, the availability of news items would be hard to ignore, but I know of at least one site that tries awfully hard.

Inutile.... Interesting vocabulary word. You must play Scrabble. :-)
Just because YOU don't have a use for something does not make it useless. Remember, essentially 1/2 of the remaining active Amiga community now owns a Pegasos. Several of them also own AmigaOnes, but I know of several AmigaOne motherboards that are their box waiting for OS4 while their owners enjoy their Pegasos. As such, all news and notices to our customers and clients is important.
It's only your evaluation of newsworthiness here which is nugatory.

Contrary to popular (and apparently your) opinion, there is no concerted effort to "rub out" "the name of AmigaOne" at all. The people who own Pegasos machines have simply taken a proactive approach at covering Pegasos events in the news. When AmigaOS 4 comes out, I'm sure that the Amiga community will have more news to report, and more to talk about.
Until then, to paraphrase modern American slang, "Don't hate the player, hate the game". To those of you who don't understand American slang, allow me to translate -- "No one is responsible for your own situation but yourself so stop pointing the finger where it doesn't belong". |
