According to Hans-Jörg Frieden, AmigaOS 4 SDK beta preview is to be released to Earlybird owners just before Christmas.
Reading some comments, it seems Amiga OS 4 beta is to be released, and it should include the final SDK.
Complete with autodocs, include files, compilers, binutils and some sample code, altough at the moment, without an IDE.

AmigaOS 4 SDK to be released to Earlybird owners : Comment 148 of 184 | ANN.lu |
Posted by greenboy on 25-Nov-2003 17:43 GMT | In reply to Comment 123 (Anonymous): >You're not completely guiltless though, just a couple days ago you said, "Of course knowing me, I'd actually get a working prototype out and ruin the whole smoke and mirrors crusade", which suggests that Amiga Inc's effort was a sham from the start. That my friend is primo troll bait.
Why would I also be Nate Downes? Unlike many, I use one nick, and don't feel any need to post anonymously. I'd just as soon say what I think or know without having an excuse that isolates me from the (rather trivial anyway) consequences of personal responsibility.
Talking of guilt? That's largely a problem anyway, ironically one that all too many on these forums should share, that stems from being willing to point fingers too often, paint too many issues in black-and-white, and to tailor all posts toward anti-advocacy - subtle or otherwise. One cannot help but be a hypocrite, it seems, but there are shades that are less tainted ; }
But your statement: "which suggests that Amiga Inc's effort was a sham from the start" is actually something my experiences and involvement have led me to place credence in. These guys had no interest in Amiga backwards-compatibility, told the community anything and everything they could to have its support, and (1) either didn't do their homework when choosing Tao, or (2) had no intention of actually choosing something that could do well the things they said they originally said they wanted to do.
This is not to say Hyperion is painted by that brush in my eyes. Though Ben Hermans has often said things I would not want to say, I can understand that in the heat of the battle that this can happen. I also understand that the timeframe has put pressure on Hyperion to MEAN to do certain things a certain way but end up having to do it another way. It's something that happens, and I try not to rub it in because I in turn would not want it rubbed in when some details change.
Anyway, I respect him and his team for working toward results in spite of the bad position that I think Amiga Inc's negligence, animosity, poor leadership, financial mis-prioritizing, and prevarications (lies? - you decide) placed his company in. It's amazing Hyperion has gotten this far given what liabilities they have faced.
