According to Hans-Jörg Frieden, AmigaOS 4 SDK beta preview is to be released to Earlybird owners just before Christmas.
Reading some comments, it seems Amiga OS 4 beta is to be released, and it should include the final SDK.
Complete with autodocs, include files, compilers, binutils and some sample code, altough at the moment, without an IDE.

AmigaOS 4 SDK to be released to Earlybird owners : Comment 53 of 184 | ANN.lu |

Well there are many who aren't that active, as far as the Amiga scene goes, and check in now and then to see how things are going. The longer they take, the more we invest in other "mainstream" purchases. Most interested parties would never put money down on a machine for an OS without a release date. If I liked to collect pretty boxes it would be a different story. Six months will make a difference in the market (as hardware gets old and people continue to look elsewhere). Six months will also be a long time for Amiga Inc. to continue without revenue. On the other hand, I'm sure many will give the OS a look when it finally does arrive. |
