In reply to Comment 18 (Deniil 715):
"AROS, Amiga Research OS, is an AmigaOS clone for x86 aiming at OS3.1 API compatibility"

Which is not exactely true.
As true as:
"Linux is an Unix clone for x86 ..."

Even so AROS is mainly developed on X86 it does not mean it aims ONLY at being a clone for x86.

For example:

- Parts of AROS have been used in MorphOS.
- A 68k build could be done for the people who wish to stay on 68k (or even for people using 68k emulators wishing to execute 68k programs).
- A coldfire build could be made for the Nueron HW.
- If a new revolutionary CPU ever come AROS could be ported to it quickly.

Tx to the opensource project AROS has a great potential to participate in several projects.
IMHO AROS would need a portable 68k emu (which may be an hard task) to get more momentum and get more support.
