We are very happy to let you all know that Alan Redhouse will visit us at the AmiGBG 2004 fair. Alan will tell us about what is happening around the AmigaOne hardware and what we can expect further on this year.
PayPal has been integrated into the ticket ordering system, so it´s now possible to pay your ticket in an easy way if you live outside Sweden. We celebrate this by having a DVD movie lottery among those who pre-pay their AmiGBG 2004 tickets!

AmiGBG Update: Eyetech & Paypal : Comment 224 of 303 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Mikey C on 30-Jan-2004 18:03 GMT | In reply to Comment 222 (Truth Teller): Okay let's lay a couple of myths out straight here.
1: Censorship on Amigaworld is actually less than occurs on ANN and on Amiga.org. We haven't censored anyone in months, admittedly, we did lock a thread recently.
Granted, we have a login system, so that we know who is trolling, no anonymous posts like yours. And yes, admittedly we are Pro Amiga (not necessarily Amiga .inc). But then that's the site's stance.
Morphzone which specifically caters for Morphos users only, doesn't get attacked here or to be quiet honest, anywhere. Everyone knows what Morphzone's stance is, i.e. Pro MOS. Amigaworld is at the opposing end of that spectrum, yet we come in for constant criticism.
Everyone who joins Amigaworld knows the site's policy. Yet we are fast approaching 1900 members, 1640 new members in under a year to March 2003. Clearly some people here can't appreciate that we are meeting a need.
Ann is the twain that serves as an interface between the three warring factions. I came on here and expressed a view. It turns out that it was not obvisouly welcome. That was stupid on my part, I should have known better.
Whether you like it or not, Amigaworld is here to stay, just as much as ANN Amiga.org and Morphzone. Each site serves a purpose/fulfills a need.
Only time will tell if there is going to be a clear winner in terms of patronage. But I know where my money is at.
