Today a so-called Amiga site which was supposed to allow freedom of speech has now become a exposed heavily censored website, webmasters acting like children insulting members of the site just because they stand up and say what they think.
I feel betrayed.

Freedom of speech is no more on a popular Amiga site. : Comment 204 of 238 | ANN.lu |
Posted by samface on 06-Feb-2004 23:08 GMT | In reply to Comment 203 (hooligan/dcs): As long as it doesn't bother the other guests, of course not. However, we're talking about a forum where everyone with an internet access can read what you write. That's like standing up and talking out loud to everyone in the restaurant.
Furthermore, an even better analogy would be a newspaper with a letters to the editor column. Does not the editor have every right to choose for himself what may be published in his newspaper or not? Of course he does. The same goes for a website with a forum, the owner/editor of the website is not in any way incumbent to publish everything nor anything submitted to him. |
