[Rant] Freedom of speech is no more on a popular Amiga site. | ANN.lu |

Today a so-called Amiga site which was supposed to allow freedom of speech has now become a exposed heavily censored website, webmasters acting like children insulting members of the site just because they stand up and say what they think.
I feel betrayed.

Freedom of speech is no more on a popular Amiga site. : Comment 227 of 238 | ANN.lu |

Yes it is, and the staff of ANN is welcomed to moderate my post any time they want to, but I won't ask for it. I also won't apologize, because I mean every damned word.
As a person who actually puts in a great deal of time trying to support this community (and I'm sure Christian would agree with me), I'm absolutely tired of the same lame-ass anonymous morons who come onto open forums intentionally trying to start shit for no other reason than to amuse themselves. When they fail -- which they did somewhere around post 1 -- they start digging up old crap just trying to prolong the argument hoping to make themselves feel better.
Those particular people -- and I don't care who they actually are -- are perfect examples of why this community really doesn't have the support of any Amiga company any more. If any of you REALLY cared about the problem, you'd take whatever action was necessary to get rid of the anonymous trolls in the community. THEY are the ones responsible for the current state of affairs, and it has no bearing on whatever color troll they are.
If "they" don't like me, or Amiga.org -- I couldn't care less. Let them go elsewhere. I've already made that abundantly clear. I'm simply sick of a 227 post thread which is nothing but one or MAYBE two jagoffs whining like spanked children because one of the moderators on my site "took their toy away".
I'm not going anywhere. Amiga.org isn't going anywhere. As such, the repeated attempts by a few mis-spent youths to irritate me into submission are only vaguely laughable. Mostly it's just tiresome. |
