Hermans is going to sue Epic because he can't stand MorphOS
See details.
Here are some quotes from Hermans from a recent IRC chat:
"They'll reap what they've sowed. Buck really should learn how to use Google."
"Should have messed with us when they still had money to pay banner ads or the employees."
"ask Thomas Steiding from Epic."
"he has to appear in court for breach of contract."
"the port he approved for distribution and which lists him explictly as betatester? ;)"
"Epic is the MorphOS obsessed German gaming company"

Hyperion to sue Epic for being a MorphOS obsessed company : Comment 19 of 150 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Anonymous on 23-Feb-2004 02:58 GMT | In reply to Comment 17 (Tigger): There's more to a computer than just a CPU. Who would port Intent to run on MorphOS (or if not on MorphOS, on the bare Pegasos hardware)? unless it's a clone of a supported OS (which I'm pretty sure it is not), it's going to be a non-trivial exercise, that will occupy at least one programmer and one QA engineer a number of weeks to do (even if the Pegasos is treated as a Linux box for the purposes of this exercise, I'm sure Tao would want to make sure that Intent works 100% on PegXLin). That is Tao's job, not Amiga Inc's (unless Amiga Inc had some sort of co-ownership of the Intent code, something I really doubt). AmigaInc's job would be to make sure the Tao libraries collectedly known as "the Amiga DE" work on Morphos Intent, and make any changes necessary to make sure that it does. |
