How many unpaid Genesi employees? : Comment 67 of 214 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Anonymous on 27-Feb-2004 15:55 GMT | In reply to Comment 55 (oGALAXYo): If so, who are we to judge about all this ?
The community. All persons that lead a community are under bombs when bad things happens.
Of course they did this for themselves in first case because it's their business, their help to get this movement going and everything they have done they stomped out of their own. Sure there was help from bPlan and the people involved (we shouldn't forget this).
Men. Genesi and related are actors of the community. I won't go deeper into explanations, but for shure many of us here think genesi/thendic done more damage than good to the community int he last two years. I don't talk about morphos or pegasos, or telling these are bad systems or whatever else, but I'm talking about the thendic and genesi compagnies and their management. Don't mix the trick.
Think it that way you could have done this on your own too. Create a company and get someone who made PowerPC boards and then sell them, do the marketing, do jump in a plane and fly to all types of countries convincing people about your product and and and.. YES they did it for themselves but they also did it for us. We need them, they need us its a good symbiosis. They gave this community what they was waiting for - for nearly 10 years of stagnation
Yes but what is discussed here is the fact that some were not paid (compagnies or private personsà), and that declarations of the managment team of genesi isn't trusted by more and more users here and elsewhere, so it's harder and harder to trust those "declarations". And if people talk about this this was because thendic/genesi managers were the former to talk about Amiga not paying or not delivering something, and about this, I wonder how a CEO or manager can pass he's time posting (real of fake content) all the day on news servers. Don't have this person some job to achieve? Or customers to find?
and yeta boi there are a bunch of people without social life who make an harrassment out of it just for the fact that it hasn't ngball glued ontop of it.
This sentence is so dumb that no comment is required.
They feel offened because it could be a possible future for the Amiga movement but for the freaking sake it does harm their picture of this world.
Hehe last time I heard this comment, this was done by bbrv;)
You learned the lesson really well. But again, this is some kind of child vision, and there are probably as enough mos fans than boingball fans.
A fan is a fan, with all problems this can do.
People should re-consider. If they don't like it then be it that way, no one will whine if you DO NOT buy Genesi products, no one really cares either. It's all and alone your own moneybag and decision if you want to do so or not.
Sometime people don't buy products from a compagny not because products are bad, but because their managers are completely corrupted. See around you there are so many examples, and while some boycot those products, some other say "no those products are good that's all I don't care about what are doing the managers with the money". In fact people that don't have a social life don't care about beoing honnest or not;)
In an ideal world I would welcome if people would get a social life, do some productive stuff to get this community moving again and do support either AROS, AOS4 and MorphOS.
What is a social life for you? This can be cool to have your oppinion on this.
So if your point of view is that only mos team is doing something....it's you oppinion that I don't share at all.
it's the philosophy that matters.
And now you talk about philosophy? After all what you said before?
hehe, let me laugh;)
can get a lot of good stuff onto our systems and make it become popular again.
Amiga-like systems are and will allways be a little market.
Whatever dream about mos or os4 being the most sold system is not a dream, it's a phantasm.
But no there are still a lot of people outside (again the same types of people) who complain because it's Linux junk that no one wants.
Those who don't have a social life? Hum...you like to take persons and placing a little label on them, in order to categorise them and you think this is suffisant?
No instead cooperating with the open source movement and use good bits they - (not even knowing howto code a shit) complain because they want some own native PowerPC stuff not being stained with the bad influence of Linux (like it was Aids or Malaria) or something.
You probably don't know what you are talking about here. hehe, you're completely wrong here men, all things aren't announced on ann.lu or amiga.org, that don't mean no one is working on them. here is a real and completely wrong declaration!!!
Well think about it. You people are still stuck in the 90's and on my calendar I read 2004. Best thing is getting work done, work that is necessary. Port software as much you can so we can all benefit from it.
hehe here is a sentence I can trust. That can be beos, that can be amigaos, that can be morphos or whatever little os, those oses are needed far more developers than they have. But who will work hundreds of hours to win....200$???
Is this is for creating free software, then all people install linux and develop on linux because thos who want a free systems are downloading linux that's all. |
