I am currently being threatened by my former employer (they are "compelled [to] take action against [me]") for the way I am running ANN, and how this allegedly violates my employment contract with them ("interfere _in any manner_ with any business relationship between the Company and any of its customers or business partners"). This might entail drastic changes to the relative freedom of speech ANN has always allowed its visitors, or ANN might close down altogether. Updated 10:00 CET.

Legal threats? : Comment 422 of 1057 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Ray A. Akey on 06-Apr-2004 21:26 GMT | In reply to Comment 396 (Christian Kemp): "I whole-heartedly recommend the Canon Digital Rebel - in the right hands (and I'm still learning) it creates amazing shots."
I wholeheartedely agree with you on the Canon Digital Rebel, Christian. I should note that in countries other than Canada and the USA, it is known as the Canon 300D or "KISS Digital" in Japan.
It is worthy to note that the camera is not a point and shoot digital like those overprocessed fixed lens cameras. The "Digital Rebel" is a full-blown digital SLR which accomodate the full line of Canon AF/AE lenses.
Yes, I know a lot about this camera because I have one.. See http://www.codemain.com/modules/Gallery/hmetal for my gallery.
Depending on what you want to shoot, the lenses available could overwhelm. Here is my lens collection, thus far: http://www.codemain.com/modules/Gallery/various/DSC06171
The big lens is the Sigma 50-500 "Bigma" and I just got that one recently. I'm having a blast with this camera and, particularly, the long lens. I just shot some deer that were grazing on a salt lick along the side of one of our roadways here in Windsor. I'll be posting those tonight.
Anyways, back to your regularly scheduled topic.. :) |
