I am currently being threatened by my former employer (they are "compelled [to] take action against [me]") for the way I am running ANN, and how this allegedly violates my employment contract with them ("interfere _in any manner_ with any business relationship between the Company and any of its customers or business partners"). This might entail drastic changes to the relative freedom of speech ANN has always allowed its visitors, or ANN might close down altogether. Updated 10:00 CET.

Legal threats? : Comment 741 of 1057 | ANN.lu |
Posted by kalmar on 08-Apr-2004 14:02 GMT | In reply to Comment 733 (Eva): "Well the Pegasos 2 (that is far better) cost 40% minus."
OK, the Pegasos2 is 40% less in one-off cost? Fine. But it doesn't matter that much. When you're selecting a development environment that you might base thousands or 10s of thousands of units on, whether the development boards cost plus or minus a few hundred dollars is completely meaningless!
Yes, it matters to you if you have to pay the premium to buy a single board, but in that case, you can choose the Pegasos! I'm sure Eyetech realise that, even though they have the strategic advantage of a promised AmigaOS4. |
