I am currently being threatened by my former employer (they are "compelled [to] take action against [me]") for the way I am running ANN, and how this allegedly violates my employment contract with them ("interfere _in any manner_ with any business relationship between the Company and any of its customers or business partners"). This might entail drastic changes to the relative freedom of speech ANN has always allowed its visitors, or ANN might close down altogether. Updated 10:00 CET.

Legal threats? : Comment 951 of 1057 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Don Cox on 09-Apr-2004 13:31 GMT | In reply to Comment 948 (Trizt): "This seems to be the end of the Amiga community, I think it now will be split into two major groups, the Red and Blue (we still have the real Amigans and the emulators too, but don't see that any of those will be spending anything into a PPC product)."
We will as soon as there is a product that justifies the cost. You can't expect everyone to rush out and spend hundreds on Euros/pounds/dollars to be a beta tester, when they have fully working Amigas already.
"As I have understod the whole thing, it's a matter of payment which has been regulated by a contract, but not been met, and as I have understod the employer thinks it's okey to break a contract and claim that everyone else does that too and that is how economy works. If things are so bad that there aren't money enough, then just lie down and die like Amiga Inc, that is how real economy works."
Amiga Inc are still in business, quietly. The whole point of the KMOS deal was to arrive at a compromise that would get them some more funding, so they can work on the DE. |
