As at 25 April, the AmigaShare website has been released to a select number of Amigans for testing the Phase I functionality.
The test period will conclude on 30 April. Then, on 1 May, the site will have its official release to the entire community. Meanwhile, AmigaShare is now available for all to view in a 'limited functionality and access' mode.
"We are excited by what we are hearing within the Amiga community and the positive emails we have received. It’s obvious everyone understands what we are trying to achieve and our focus on the new OS4 technology. Mostly, we are looking forward to getting feedback on the website itself and using this phase I to set the direction for its evolution. So, please come visit us soon.", says Chris Nillissen, co-founder of AmigaShare.com.
Regards,
The AmigaShare Team

AmigaShare.com in Test Mode : Comment 11 of 24 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Ole-Egil on 26-Apr-2004 05:56 GMT | In reply to Comment 6 (Kolbjørn Barmen): I have to concur(sp?). When it's THAT messy, and it doesn't even specify its own DTD, don't expect it to look right in alternative browsers. Being bug-compatible with IE is a bitch ;-)
Dear amigashare.com
Is there ANY hope of your website eventually generating some form of HTML instead of this random text data with html tags in it that just happens to make IE display something cool?
;-)
To Kolla:
Maybe if you didn't sound so grumpy people would take you more seriously. I know, I suffer from the same problem. Here's an idea: Tell them what you feel is WRONG, then maybe they can correct those problems (and stamp a copy of your corrections (mirrored) on the forehead of all their developers so they don't do THAT again).
My wish-list:
A doctype tag
Don't override styles with font-tags. NEVER. EVER. I REALLY MEAN IT:
A:link
{
text-decoration: none;
FONT-SIZE: 8pt;
COLOR: black;
FONT-FAMILY: Verdana
}
Does not mix with:
<font color=#424542>Sponsorship</font>
That's extremely important. It didn't come out as either of those two colours here, FYI ;-) |
