After buying a window tower, I decided to gather all the Amiga bits and bobs that have been kicking around and build another A1200T.

Actually, many of the homebrew "Just want my A1200 in a tower, no Zorro expansion board" conversions I've seen have taken exactly that approach. The plus side about this mod is, that he was able to find a tower that fits the motherboard properly, so it doesn't have to be cabletied diagonally into the case or anything.
None of the commercial tower kits do it like the original poster, of course, so maybe that's why you think it's unconventional. |
