New audio codec supporting Motorola 68K/PPC-based computers The Musepack (MPC) audio codec has finally completed its transition to the open source world.
The official website contains highly portable LGPL-licensed source code with floating and fixed-point math modes which can be easily compiled on AmigaOS/MorphOS.
Also included is the complete SV7-1.15r codec source (including encoder) which can also be compiled on AmigaOS/MorphOS.

Musepack's outstanding sound quality has been proven several times on public listening tests, as well as outstanding speed.
All the details and links can be found on the official site: www.musepack.net

In reply to Comment 5 (Anonymous):
This library can be compiled without modifications to several os/arch already:
win32/x86
osx/ppc
wince/arm
Complete success has also been reported on PPC970/SPARC64/MIPS/VAX archs.
So it's not really a matter to *port* the code but more adding it to the current amigaos media players.
