Today we have released version alpha 0.0.3 of JAmiga.
This version is now fully ported to gcc, as well as we have added the first GUI element, the Button. A test class for Buttons is included which already uses a layout manager.
Please be aware that this is a very buggy version and intended for interested people who know what they are doing!! If you come across any problems, please use the jamiga forum or inform us via email. The best thing you could do would be to send the output produced by enforcer/mungwall! Website Link

In reply to Comment 6 (Leki):
"just wondering how long it will be before its advanced enough to be able to run a good selected of java software that is available for other platforms."

I guess a year or so, but it will be useful as soon as it can run the tutorials in a Teach Yourself Java book.

This is one of the most important Amiga projects, IMO.
