Here, you can find a new list of the features available in the current

Ambient Featurelist! (MorphOS) : Comment 9 of 64 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Bill Hoggett on 07-Jun-2004 21:25 GMT | In reply to Comment 6 (Kjetil): " * I think it looks like KDE, I expect an Amiga look form an AmigaOS clone."
???
What Amiga look is that? The Workbench 1.3 default look? The Amiga 3.1 default look?
I wish people would engage their brains before posting. You hear people complaining when MorphOS stuff is said to be Amiga-like, and then those same peole complain that it doesn't have the "Amiga look", whatever that is supposed to be. (I assume they don't mean the truly horrid official Amiga look as seen in AmigaOS up to 3.9)
Who cares if it's exactly like old AmigaOS? Who cares if it looks like Workbench or not? The real questions should be: is it any good, is it practical and does it have the functionality you expect.
Now I'm sure if you all put your thinking caps on you can make some valid interesting and substantive points about Ambient, be they positive or negative. You remember how to judge software by what it does rather than where it comes from, right? |
