Well, Aminet also doesn't have an OS3.1 tree, OS3.5 tree, or an OS3.9 tree, etc...

There is a readme field "Requires:". If it's an OS4.0 application, you would just put:

Requires: OS4.0

Easy. Same as has been done for OS3.9 apps, etc. This is a much better way than having a whole separate tree for each revision of the OS. This way there is only one directory for each type of software, regardless of how many OS revisions are made.

Surely that is more logical?
