It seems that aosolin (Amiga OS over Linux) is updated.
It seems that aosolin (Amiga OS over Linux) is updated.
There is a patch for Drummond's uae version which allow to run directly any executable on amiga side without using WorkBench...
As the aosolin site mentionned it, it should be nice for HD-GAMES..

Aosolin site updated : Comment 1 of 2 | ANN.lu |
Posted by kadi on 03-Jul-2004 11:18 GMT | What i whish to have ist another kind of trick:
1) A possibility to start an Amiga applikation inside UAE from the Linux side. Maybe with a skript or so. The Emulator with Workbench is already running but i want to start YAM and other Workbench apps from within the Linux shell.
2) I whish to have UAE in a borderless fullscreen backdrop window that always keeps behind all other windows and desktopicons.
Why? Well, the major purpose of this idea is to have the KDE-Kontrolpanel in front of the UAE-Window to replace AmiDock or Toolmanager, so you can start Amiga Apps from the KDE-Kontrolpanel.
That would integrate UAE into KDE a little bit. I`m fed up with the fullscreen mode and the hotkeys to switch between fullscreen UAE and linux applikations. I`m also annoyed about UAE in windowed mode because the window is always too big and hard to get out of the way while working with Linux apps. |
