Well, I haven't been able to reproduce the artificial element
einsteinium either. Does that mean einsteinium doesn't exist? No. Even
if I was the world's most reknowned nuclear physicist, and I failed to
reproduce einsteinium, this would not be a strong argument that it
doesn't exist. Many independent tests have shown that it does exist -
and no one has been able to present any evidence that it doesn't.
However, the analogy doesn't hold, because it would be very hard to
prove that einsteinium does *not* exist. It's however very easy to
prove that DMA hardware on the A1 is not broken - just give us some
working DMA to test. |
